40 Hours of 40K - Canada

40 Hours of 40K, first originated in the United Kingdom, and was created by our very own Warhammer Hero, Andrew Weller, a member of the Royal Air Force.

Their charity, CALM (campaign against living miserably), focuses on raising awareness of men’s mental health and suicide prevention in the UK.

After being involved with them for the past 2 years as an artist, I traveled to Lincoln, UK, in September 2022 to meet with the team and present my idea of expansion.

My idea was well received and 40 hours of 40K - Canada was born!

What is 40hours of 40K you might ask?

Artists from all over Canada and the United States will come together to paint a 2000 point army of Warhammer 40K models.

Artists are usually assigned a model set or two depending on their availability. Artists have roughly 6 months to complete their assigned models and send them back to Edmonton, where the event will be hosted. Garviel Studio and Industrial Park Games will be hosting the event in September 2023.

Each $5 donation gives one ticket toward the raffle (for those interested in winning) of a beautifully painted army and many other prizes from our very generous sponsors.

The event itself will have players battle it out on tabletop for 40 hours, using various armies of the Gamesworkshop’s franchise Warhammer40K.

40 hours of 40K - UK will be running concurrently, alternating the live feed broadcast of some of the games.
